A Virtual Road Trip

Earlier today,  I set out on a virtual road trip starting in Calais, France (personnerdy was with me, but he doesn’t seem to interested anymore), you may be asking how do you take a virtual road trip. Well, there is this wonderful thing called Google Maps, and with street view you can explore many of the world’s roads, especially in densely populated places such as Europe.

Taking a virtual road trip takes time, I have “driving” for 2 hours or so hours, and just passed, Beauvais, France, not even to Paris yet. But if you have extra time on you hands, I would definitely recommend taking a virtual road trip, because you will get to explore different parts of the world, and what’s not fun about that?

Some people may want to use Google Earth, personally I think Google Maps is better because it lets you scroll faster, and has a minimap to show you where you are going.

This is the plan for the road trip, it’s going to take a while, but I think it’s worth it. I will be following the route for most of the trip, but might take another route, if i want to see something else. Have fun if you ever try this yourself!

UPDATE:

Found this parking lot of A16 going to “sleep” in my car, that’s the end my “driving” for today, almost to Paris, currently in Lormaison, so I’m close considering I started in Calais.
